Coronavirus update

Dear Mallams Clients, past, current and future,

Following the most recent advice from the Government and the World Health Organisation with regard to the world-wide Coronavirus pandemic Mallams Directors have taken the decision for the safety and wellbeing of staff, clients and other co-workers to close all offices to the general public from 4.30pm on Tuesday 24th of March until 30th April, this subject to ongoing advice. The following sales are postponed with dates to be announced:

20th April 2020 Abingdon. ‘Home’ Sale

22nd April 2020 Oxford. Jewellery and Watches

23rd April 2020 Oxford. Silver and Objets de Vertu

6th/7th May 2020 Cheltenham. Chinese Art, Japanese & Islamic Art

I know that this is a cause of great regret amongst our staff and a considerable disappointment to our many buyers and sellers but I am confident that we as a profession will emerge from this period of great uncertainty and worry stronger and definitely wiser and that our action might in some small way help to resist this threat.

We will continue to pay close attention to government advice and if there is a notable improvement in the current situation then we will announce new dates for the sales above. Please note these auctions are postponed and not cancelled.

I am  grateful for your understanding and support and for the dedication and hard work of our fantastic staff.

Our very best wishes to you all

Benjamin Lloyd
