Mallams holds three specialist sales of jewellery and watches each year at our Oxford saleroom, offering a variety of carefully selected jewels and collections dating from the early Georgian period through to contemporary design by jewellery houses such as Cartier, Tiffany & Co. and Van Cleef & Arpels.
Our biannual sales of Post War Art and Design also incorporate Decorative Arts jewellery, including Arts and Crafts and Scandinavian modernist pieces, in addition to works by celebrated 20th Century British artists such as Wendy Ramshaw and Gillian Packard.
Department highlights include the sale of a Liberty & Co gold and enamel necklace for £31,000 (hammer price), setting a new world record for a piece of Archibald Knox jewellery sold at auction, and a pair of diamond earrings by Cartier, achieving a house record of £72,000 (hammer price) in November 2017.
With access to gemmological laboratories and in-house testing facilities, our experienced specialists are happy to provide complimentary valuations with a view to selling at auction. Initial enquiries can be made via our website or by email to email@example.com. All valuations (subject to the Government’s Covid Alert system) will be by appointment only.
