A late 19th/early 20th century enamel, diamond and pearl locket pendant, the circular panel applied with a ribbon bow of old and lasque-cut diamonds, to a turquoise blue enamel ground with white enamel border, edged with pearls, glazed compartment verso, gold and silver mounted, (pearls untested for origin), in retailer's case, length 3.5cm

Diamonds are well matched and fairly lively, most of the stones with a typically greyish appearance due to possible foil backing, some stones with small chips or surface-reaching fractures. Scuffs and small chips/nicks to enamel but no obvious enamel losses. The pearls are mostly baroque in outline and all have surface wear, with some blemishes, creases and surface imperfections. The mount has surface wear, scuffs, nicks and patchy tarnishing and the glazed aperture has surface wear. Metal standards are untested. Gross weight approximately 8.5gm.
