16th Century Italian Three Large Historiated Initials:- from a Benedictine book, vis:- left to right

1. 'The Two Maries and The Angel of the Tomb with Seascape in background', signed on plinth B.F. (165 x 162mm)
2. 'Christ Washing Peter's Feet, John the Baptist in Attendance with Towel with the eight other Disciples', (177 x 168mm)
3. 'The Birth of The Virgin, St Anne Lies in Canopied Bed with Attendant Figures' (167 x 162mm)

Each on a gold leaf ground. All forming a triptych in an early 20th century 'Medici' style frame with pilaster columns and gilded decoration (290 x 670mm overall) fair condition but gold leaf flaking.
