COLLATION: A-N8 but lacking 1 folio in quire H (which probably had an illustration). Text in Latin and French.
DECORATION: Hand-coloured woodcut printer’s device (fol. 1r). 14 full-page hand-coloured woodcut illustrations. Also includes smaller hand-coloured woodcut illustrations. Four pages with decorative borders added by hand. One- and two-line decorative initials and decorative line fillers added by hand (gold on red or blue).
BINDING: Bound in later red velvet (180 x 115 mm). All edges gilt and gauffered.
PROVENANCE: Armorial bookplate (partially removed). Ink and pencil notes. With Messrs Christie 28/6/1972.
CONDITION: Binding rebacked, boards loosening, clasps and cornerpieces missing, wear to velvet. Minor stains to vellum.
