Fritz Althaus, b. April 1863, the son of a German professor of music and an English mother. In 1914, due to anti-German feeling he changed his name and took the name of Kerr, his wife's mother's maiden name. Thereafter he signed all his paintings Fredk B. Kerr

Lot 450 – some small tears/nicks to edges with small losses and pin holes to the corners. Some brown foxing spots, and splash marks, with light time staining to the sheet. A light scratch/scuff to the lower central area.
