Jean Pascaud was a renowned French decorator, and an influential furniture designer in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. Pascaud exhibited his work in various salons, including the Salon des Tuileries, Salon d'Automne, and Salon des Artists Decorateurs.
He was concerned with simplicity in design combined with technical acumen, which worked both with traditional and contemporary tastes of the period, and afforded him many important and influential clients.
He received the coveted Grand Prix at the International Exposition of 1937 and collaborated with many of the leading designers of his age including Mme Bouissou (decorative glass panels), Pierre Lardin (engraved mirrors) and Le´on Lang (paneling).
