A Victorian garnet and diamond panel brooch, the circular panel with Greek key and ropetwist wirework borders, centred with a cabochon garnet boss in foiled closed-back setting, inset with an old-cut diamond set star motif, gold mounted, (glazed verso deficient), length 4.05cm
Surface wear, scuffs, shallow dings and patchy tarnishing to mount. Some catches and small splits/snags to ropetwist borders and edge of collet setting. Later fitting to back of panel. The brooch pin functions. Scuffs and nicks/chips to garnet and diamond. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approximately 15.8gm.
