The diamond is bright and lively, with some facet edge abrasion, estimated I to J colour and SI1 to SI2 clarity, assessed mounted. Diamond dimensions approx. 6.9mm length x 4.4mm width x 3mm depth. The red stones have small chips and surface wear and are possibly rubies, but are too small to test. The mount has been later extended with a large section added to the coiled hoop. This interrupts the inscription to the interior of the hoop, which reads possibly 'Presented to ?? ... by the customers of the LION HOTEL??' The mount has general surface wear, scuffs and chips, with solder at the junctions of the later added section, which is of a slightly different hue. There is a fine seam/split to the interior, near to the marks. Hallmarks are clearly struck, the maker's mark is possibly 'HSS'. Width of band 1.6cm at head, 1.04cm at back. Gross weight approx. 13.6gm.
