Provenance:
Probably from the collection of the American actor Vincent Price;
Private Collection.

It is thought that only three casts are known to exist of this model, and it would probably have been cast in the 1940s/50s, given the complex patina which Epstein would probably have been involved in helping to choose, although as with all Epstein bronzes this is difficult to verify.
