HENRY HOLIDAY (1839-1927) Head and shoulders portrait of a lady, signed with initials, pencil drawing, 31 x 28cm (im), 56 x 39cm (sh), unframed Note: The drawing is inscribed 'Christabel' perhaps directing one towards the suffragette Christabel Pankhurst however it has also been suggested that the sitter could be Eleanor Butcher who Holiday records using as a model for the head of Beatrice in his autobiography of 1914
