A 17th century Spanish Vargueno
The walnut iron-bound Vargueno with decorative lock plate to the fall front enclosing a variety of drawer and pigeon holes, each with scalloped shell cast handles and inlaid bone ornament, with carrying handles to the side and all on a possibly later stand.

In generally good condition with some of the iron mounts later replaced. Slight play in the frame. Some patches to the woodwork. The hinges have been later replaced. Signs of historic woodworm to the support.
