White metal choker or fringe necklace

of wire mesh design, unmarked, 40.5cm overall, and a silver-plated box with two lids decorated with Indian officials (hinge missing for one lid), 9cm x 7cm x 4cm (2)

Provenance:- from the descendant of a British Indian colonial family, related to General William Clive Justice, who led the British troops at the siege of Delhi, during the Indian mutiny.

Provenance:- from the descendant of a British Indian colonial family, related to General William Clive Justice, who led the British troops at the siege of Delhi, during the Indian mutiny.

With overall wear to the necklace, some discolouration. Some bells missing. The clasp is stiff. The box has one hinged lid which is completely detached. Areas where the finish is worn. Scratches and signs of use. Pricked numbers to the interior.
