A 16th century German Bible translated by Martin Luther, Wittenberg, John Krafft 1590. Old Testament including Book of Prophets, Psalter and New Testament with historiated capitals and woodcut illustrations throughout, gothic script, one title page 'Die Propheten' printed in red and black with woodcut border, old vellum, for restoration (365 x 245mm). Old Testament title lacking. First four pages of Genesis tipped in, with losses. Sold as found.
