An amber bead necklace, comprising a single strand of amber beads, graduating from approximately 24mm length x 18.7mm width to 12mm length x 8.2mm width, terminating with a single agate bead to one side, (amber untested for origin and treatments), length of amber beads 37.5cm
The amber beads have slightly variable orangy-yellow hues with variable transparency, most of the beads being opaque with some translucent areas. The beads have general surface wear, scuffs and scratches, with scattered fractures. Some of the beads have fairly large chips that are easily seen to the unaided eye. The agate bead is later added/replaced. The stringing is loose and will require replacement. Gross weight approx. 37gm.
