Sylvie Vandenhoucke (Belgian, b.1969) Wall piece glass 46cm x 45cm. Sylvie Vandenhoucke studied at the Royal College of Art, London. Her work can be found in the Museum of Arts & Design (New York), Toledo Museum of Art (Ohio), Chrysler Museum of Art (Virginia), Royal Museum of Scotland (UK), Musée du Verre de Sars-Poteries (France) and Design Museum Ghent (Belgium). Her work focuses on elements such as duration and flux, light and space and how they are connected within fixed parameters. She examines the boundaries between the visible and invisible, real and imagined, through an analysis of surface and material.
