A multi-strand pearl necklace with diamond set clasp, comprising five strands of pearls graduating from approximately 2.9mm to 4.65mm in diameter, to a rectangular clasp set with two rows of old-cut diamonds, (pearls untested for natural/cultured origin), total diamond weight approximately 0.60ct, necklace shortest length 45.5cm
Please note that the pearls are untested for natural/cultured origin and we are unable to confirm their origin/type. The pearls have variable creamy-white and yellowish-white hues, come with subtle greenish/pinkish orient/overtone. The majority of the pearls are off-round, some of baroque shapes, and most have blemishes such as surface pitting, ridges, scuffs/scratches, ripples and creases to the nacre. Some of the pearls have fractures, cracks and dark inclusions to the nacre and some of the pearls are discoloured, with considerable wear and peeling to the surface. Stringing is not knotted between pearls and the security of the stringing is not guaranteed. Diamonds to the clasp are lively but with variable clarity, some stones with chips/surface-reaching fractures, estimated SI2 to P2 clarity and J to L colour, assessed mounted. The clasp has considerable wear, with losses to some of the setting tips, and a messy solder join with porosity to the back. The clasp is currently functioning and metal standard is untested. Gross weight approximately 51gm.
